After doing all of the flooring, we re-did the stairs and used the same flooring to match.
I did the baseboard trim for the stairs first, and then I butted the flooring up tight to it.
I made a wooden jig to help lay out the angles and lengths I needed to cut for the flooring on the treads and it worked well enough to get the job done.
