This room wasn’t too bad and we mostly just needed to do some cosmetic work.
I installed a return vent in both this room and in the adjoining one to help with airflow to the furnace, but other than that the installation of the subfloor and then vinyl plank was the biggest job.
With that out of the way, I put down some rubber gym mats.
Of course, it needed the standard drywall patching, primer, paint and baseboards.
Then we had our exercise room, complete with my “Shrine of Mediocrity” which featured the handful of trophies I got when playing hockey.
The Shrine of Mediocrity is strategically placed close to the weights …for when I need some additional negative motivation when lifting.
I don’t get to do it as much as I used to, but I enjoy doing it when I can. (You can see some of my lifting from way back under the Sports & Training Tab here.)
Maybe one day I’ll get back into it…
