Step into the world of Akram ~ a hardworking labor in Karachi town. He and his family live in the crowded Railway Colony, where life's tough, but they do it with a smile.
He is a dedicated laborer who supports his family of four.
As the sole earner, his salary is insufficient to provide his children with the necessities of life, including food and education. Sometimes, they can only afford one meal a day due to the shortage of money and resources.
Despite these challenges, Akram's unwavering determination fuels his efforts to create a better life for his children. He wakes up early each morning, searching for work, and overcomes countless obstacles to secure jobs. His resilience shines through as he perseveres, ensuring his family's well-being in the face of adversity.
Living in a super congested and mega polluted area, Akram and his family face a constant battle against dirt and filth. The streets are littered with garbage and there's no one around to clean up the mess. The lack of proper waste management and sanitation facilities exacerbates the problem, leading to a breeding ground for diseases.
Despite these challenging conditions, Akram and his family remain resilient, making the best out of their circumstances and striving for a better future.
To help him in this journey, we gave his family a package of food (Ration packs) which should last them for about two weeks.
We were also able to buy them some new clothes as Eid (a religious holiday) was near.
After receiving those gifts, the smiles that lit up their faces were absolutely priceless. It was a moment that touched the heart and left a lasting impression.
